The Genelec 8010A is the smallest member of Genelec’s professional 8000 series studio monitor range, delivering the Finnish company’s legendary accuracy and neutrality in an ultra-compact package suitable for desktop, broadcast, and on-location professional monitoring applications. The die-cast aluminum SAM (Smart Active Monitoring) enclosure provides both structural rigidity and effective acoustic isolation of internal components from external vibration. The integrated bass reflex port is internally shaped to minimize turbulence and port noise at the low-frequency operating range. The bi-amplified power section delivers 10 watts to the woofer and 10 watts to the tweeter, sufficient for near-field professional monitoring at appropriate working levels. The SAM system includes onboard bass and treble tilt controls as well as a desktop controller option that allows precise calibration for any acoustic environment. The co-axial driver arrangement places the tweeter at the acoustic center of the woofer, creating excellent point-source accuracy and consistent frequency response across a wide listening area. XLR balanced input maintains professional signal integrity throughout the signal path.
